Book Review – Eolyn by Karin Rita Gastreich

“Sole heiress to a forbidden craft, Eolyn lives in a world where women of her kind are tortured and burned. When she meets Achim, destined to assume the throne of this violent realm, she embarks upon a path of adventure, friendship, betrayal and war. Bound by magic, torn apart by destiny, Eolyn and the Mage King confront each other in an epic struggle that will determine the fate of a millennial tradition of magic.”

You all know I don’t review books that often but every once in a while something stands out and I just have to tell people about it. Eolyn by Karin Rita Gastreich is one of those books that will stick with you for a while. I could easily have read it in one sitting if life had allowed. As it was, I was anxiously awaiting the next time I’d get to sit down with this great book. The story is well written with beautiful imagery that really makes the world come alive, but isn’t cumbersome. The characters were compelling. The good guys rocked, the bad guys were fun to hate and the characters just trying to make their way in their world were very sympathetic. It was a beautiful book to read and I highly recommend it. Five out of Five stars

And to make it even better, through the end of the year the publisher is having a sale on their ebooks. You can pick up Eolyn for only $.99 for your Kindle or Nook. http://hadleyrillebooks.com/eolyn.html

You can also pick up other great books such as Finder by Terri-Lynne De Fino (I read this one last January and it was great) for only $.99 through the end of the year. http://hadleyrillebooks.com/ebooksale.html That’s a buck for hours of great entertainment. (Much cheaper than a movie and so much better)

Thank you, Julie!!!

What a wonderful review. And I agree with every word. I got to read this pre-release and fell in love with a draft not even polished to the perfection it is now!
